Rainfed agriculture is the lifeline for over half of India’s cultivated land and millions of farmers face escalating challenges. With shifting monsoons and reduced rainfall, these inherently vulnerable regions are now more susceptible to the intensifying climate crisis. These interconnected issues highlight need to build resilience through collective action and strengthening networks.
OUR APPROACH
Direct resources towards approaches that build & diversify, climate-resilient rainfed agriculture, in a holistic model rather than fragmented schemes.
Mobilize adequate and sustained financial support to match the scale of challenges in rainfed regions, moving beyond short-term projects to long-term commitments that enable systemic transformation.
Ensure that funds reach communities through decentralized, transparent, and accountable mechanisms, empowering local institutions and civil society organizations to anchor collective action on the ground.
