OUR STRATEGY
Over time, the RRA Network has developed multiple strategies to build capacity across various constituencies, including community cadres, young professionals, and civil society organisations (CSOs).
Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture Foundation emerged from the efforts of the network organisations in India that have been actively working and are known collectively under the umbrella name of Revitalising Rainfed agriculture (RRA) Network.
Revitalising Rainfed Agriculture Foundation emerged from the efforts of the network organisations in India that have been actively working and are known collectively under the umbrella name of Revitalising Rainfed agriculture (RRA) Network.
By enhancing the capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), we’ve facilitated a shift from product-based livelihoods to area-specific, sustainable production systems.
As our network continues to grow, we’ve established new initiatives, including the National Coalition of Natural Farming (NCNF) and the Indian Biochar and Bio Resource Network (IBBN), further broadening our collaborative reach. The network therefore is an important bridge today when it comes to the issue of rainfed agriculture.
One significant challenge has been the chronic underinvestment in rainfed areas, despite their critical role in food production.
To address this, the Foundation will engage in rigorous networking, to shift the focus of public policy towards sustainable, integrated resource management in rainfed agriculture. By leveraging partnerships with private sector stakeholders and philanthropic organisations, we have been able to bridge funding gaps and scale our initiatives. These experiences have underscored the importance of a collaborative approach and the need for continued networking to secure the resources necessary for long-term impact.
